Beccles Litter Pick - Preventing Plastic Pollution

Tue, 17 Jan 2023
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Join us to pick litter along the Waveney

The River Waveney Trust is taking part in a project - Preventing Plastic Pollution - looking at how plastic finds its way into rivers and eventually out into oceans.

Help us to collect litter near and in the River Waveney, identify litter hotspots and look at ways we can tackle plastic pollution locallly, whilst gathering data that contributes to a better global understanding.

We've got plenty of litter pickers, bags, bag hoops and gloves so no extra equipment needed. We would love you to join us, it's a perfect opportunity to get outside, stretch your legs, chat with a friendly bunch of people, and eat cake!

We will be joining the wonderful Beccles Bombles, a dedicated litterpicking group who are out every Tuesday keeping Beccles free of litter.

Meet near the old dump, just off the Morrisons roundabout, at 2pm.

At the end we will sort and record data about the litter we have picked and stop to eat cake. (I'll bring hand sanitiser too)

Everyone welcome - you can let me know if you're coming by selecting a free ticket.

Thanks

Ange
