The River Waveney Trust is taking part in a project - Preventing Plastic Pollution - looking at how plastic finds its way into rivers and eventually out into oceans.
Help us to collect litter near and in the River Waveney, identify litter hotspots and look at ways we can tackle plastic pollution locallly, whilst gathering data that contributes to a better global understanding.
We've got plenty of litter pickers, bags, bag hoops and gloves so no extra equipment needed. We would love you to join us, it's a perfect opportunity to get outside, stretch your legs, chat with a friendly bunch of people, and there will be cake at the end!
We will meet at 9.30am at the back of the car park at Morrisons, near the steps that lead down to the riverside footpath.
It's a small area to cover, but sadly its a real litter hotspot. We will collect litter for aroun an hour, then we will gather to record data on what we have found and to eat cake and have hot drink.
See you there
