River Waveney Trust Tree Pinning Work Party
Join Jeremy Miege, tree surgeon and conservation landscape engineer, to safely pin a previously obstructing tree along the river bank to allow canoe passage and create a habitat for fish and invertebrates.
There is plenty of parking alongside the river, where the Low Road has remained closed since the flooding events of December 2020. (Parking at what-3-words location: sampled.weaned.decoding. Message me if you need directions)
What to expect:
A friendly atmosphere, teas & coffee provided
Waders will be provided.
Full training and tools required for the job.
What to bring:
Garden gloves
Plenty to drink and a packed lunch.
Wear hats, sunscreen or extra layers depending on the time of year.
Wellington boots
Please dress for the weather with long-sleeved tops and trousers. Fleece materials are preferable when working close to the water as they are lightweight and dry more quickly.
