The History & Heritage of Thatching in the Waveney Valley

The Waveney Valley has a long association with thatching, with both reed and long straw thatched houses still common in the area. Local Waveney Master Thatcher, Nick Walker, will talk about the heritage and history of thatching and thatching materials, the issues faced today, wildlife benefits and his experiences of being a thatcher in the area.
